Harry Potter: Puzzles & Spells - Matching Games is a match-3 puzzle game set in the universe of the famous Harry Potter series. Brought to you by Zynga, you will get to tackle a ton of colorful match-3 puzzles while fiddling around with magical powers and meeting popular characters from the movies! So, pick up your wand and cast a spell as you dive into the classic moments from the films with Harry, Ron, Hermione, and many more of the crew! This game can be played offline, so you can access it at any place and time without the need for an internet connection.
The mechanics of this match-3 puzzle game is not that dissimilar from other games of the genre. First things first, you get to choose a house to join from 4 different crests, namely Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slytherin. Any wizard is not complete without a wand, which is why the game lets you choose from a variety of unique looking wands from the get-go. Once you are set, you can step into your very first puzzle!
Each level has a specific goal you need to reach in order to beat it, which is usually in the form of collecting a certain number of gems. At the top, you will also find a counter indicating how many remaining moves you have to clear the level with. Tap and swap a gem to match at least 3 identical gems in a line to collect them. On the top left corner of the screen, you can see your Spell Meter which can be filled by collecting white gems. Once the Spell Meter is filled, a Spell will be cast!
You will be able to cast various iconic spells from the series such as Wingardium Leviosa, which has the ability to lift objects and reveal puzzles. As you level up further, you will unlock new Spells, collect special Creatures, mix mysterious Potions, and encounter all kinds of magical challenges! Clearing levels will also progress your story bar for each area, which then unlocks memorable moments from the movie in sequence to view and enjoy!
From the main menu, you can access a bunch of cool in-game features such as ongoing Events, Clubs, and customize your Profile. Some of these features will be available once you have reached a certain level threshold, so keep playing to enjoy them later on! Under the Profile panel, you can customize your Avatar, manage the creatures that you have in your possession, and examine your Wand and Spells! The Club panel, on the other hand, is where you join or create one to make new friends and enjoy tremendous benefits like free lives and XP, as well as work together to take on special events!
