Upon stumbling on a magical diary, twins Daisy and Danny unlock the secrets to a secret magical world called the Shyre. Astounded by the beauty of the Shyre, Daisy and Danny continued on to read about the enchanted place. As the mystery of the land upholds the twins interest, they unexpectedly unearthed the dismal fate the Shyre has gone through recently. As the twins have read, the Shyre was recently attacked by an evil force that destroyed the Shyre's Magical Fountain, the town's source of life. The horrid onslaught forced the Magical Fountain to break into pieces, which scattered across the land. With the Magical Fountain in ruins, the Shyre was left lifeless and barren.
With this, the twins decide to embark on a journey to find the Magical Fountain's pieces and eventually bring the Magical Fountain back together again and thus breathe life back into the Shyre.
In the PC game Tales of the Shyre, players take on the mission Daisy and Danny have initiated and restore life in the Shyre by searching and collecting all the missing pieces of the Magical Fountain. Tales of the Shyre is a collection of various mini games from genres like management and even to bubble shooting type of games. The game features up to 90 story challenges for all players to enjoy. Tales of the Shyre also offers two kinds of game modes – Adventure and Freeplay. The adventure mode is where players continue the mission and play games guided by the story. While the Freeplay mode allows players to enjoy various types of games in the story without having to affect the story. The Freeplay mode, however, is only available to players after playing several levels within the Adventure mode.
In the Adventure mode, gameplay begins with a few huts or houses on the town's map. Apparently, all these places are still locked but then the game ushers the players to officially begin gameplay by proceeding to the Sushi Restaurant for the first mission, wherein players will have to serve seafood to customers.
As it is the first game, gamers are guided for the controls involved in preparing meals and serving food to the customers. Navigation is pretty simple as it just involves clicking on the food to serve and at times clicking on the customer to deliver food and pick up tips. Each customer entering the restaurant will have three hearts floating beside them and the goal of the player is to turn those white and empty hearts into warm, happy, and red hearts–this, of course, is only possible if the player meets the customers' demands and provides quality service during their stay in the restaurant. After the third day, the shop will be available for the players wherein they may purchase upgrades to the shop. After the fourth day, players will be rewarded with a Fuzzball, their personal helper in the restaurant. Then after the sixth day, players will finally receive the first-ever piece to the Magical Fountain which they must attach to the Magical Fountain like a puzzle.
Tales of the Shyre, despite its quite repetitive gameplay, still provides unique entertainment to all players with its Freeplay mode, cute and adorable graphics, and relaxing music. Tales of the Shyre Samenvatting
